ABCD (American Born Confused Desi)

Meaning: An expression that refers to children of Indian immigrants in the U.S.


Gazab

Meaning: Fantastic. An expression used to portray approval

 

Gori

Meaning: A girl who has fair skin and generally used for a foreigner. But when this word is used in Bollywood songs, it also means light-skinned Indian Girl.


Gora
Meaning: Male version of gori


Achcha

Meaning: Okay!


Onetime

Meaning: Meaning “of course”, “without delay”; often used as a positive reply to a question.


Toppie

Meaning: An older male authority-figure. Often used by Indians but also by working-class white people. From the Indian word for “hat”.

Meaning: Mostly used in arguments, meaning “this and that”.
